Look at the top left - "Dec 31" that's the date, and I haven't posted every day, I get too lazy.

Well when I wrote this I didn't know the reasons for upgrading to either of these. I was running Windows XP on 2 machines and Adobe CS3 products. I have since upgraded, first to Vista and the Windows 7 for my operating systems. I will have to say both add greatly to my productivity (Adobe CS4 Master Collection and Windows 7). Lots of people say they see no difference between Vista and 7 other than a few tweaks. To them I say, if you spend 8+ hours a day really digging into your computer you will see a real difference. Also if Adobe Illustrator always had the features that CS4 now has I would have been a lot more productive in my design work in the past. So progress is good, but not upgrading just simply because there is a new version out...

Well I find when I upgrade Photoshop that very little seems new and I wonder what I just wasted my pennies on, then if I go back a version or two 6 months down the line it seems half the features/application is missing and I find it really hard to use.

@Juan, for me the biggest reason to upgrade to CS4 was 64bit, I'm also on Windows.

Windows 7 build 7057 has minimal compatibility issues. the new build 7068 has many. Hopefully the glitches will be taken care of by the time the final version comes out.

Question: What good extras do see in CS4 that make you think you need to upgrade to CS4?

Thanks for the informative article.
