So, officially the Utah Jazz are in the Playoffs right now. That is really just a formallity though. This is a team that never really had a chance at making any real noise this year, and hopefully there are some changes coming.
Anyway this is how I see the playoffs going for this team. Getting killed in game 1 (already done). Making it closer for about 3 quarters for the second game in LA, but losing control in the fourth quarter. Then back in Salt Lake they will win game 3 by a narrow margin as Deron Williams and the other real players on the team give it one last gasp effort. That will lead to a narrow loss in game 4 – with the team being done after makig th epush for a single victory in the previous game. And game 5 will probably be decent for the first half before everyone involved truely concedes that the season is really over for Utah and the Lakers roll on to round 2 as the Jazz go home and clean out their lockers. It’s pretty sad, considering the talent on the Jazz team, the problem is that the players that really need to have the heart of a champion on this team to go with their talent seem to have donated their hearts to medical research. (Deron Williams is not included in that group, he has the right heart and the talent to be on equal terms with anyone in the basketball world). The players who do hustle and have the heart are just not quite the talent and the ones with the talent just don’t seem to be motivated. Can’t someone combine these players? What if you could take what Matt Harpring’s take on the game and transfer it to Boozer, or Memo?
