So, I saw an article online at deseretnews.com today about some debate between cloth diapers and disposable. I’m sorry but those who are advocates of cloth are insane. I would really like to know if they also believe that disposable toilet paper is just a convenience as well, just as they claim that disposable diapers are. As I see it the more you have to handle human waste the more exposure to disease you bring to you family. I would much rather get that out of my house in one package, rather than have to rinse it out in a toilet – disgusting and a health risk – then collect enough to make a batch of laundry – also disgusting. All the while you get a build up of festering, disease-causing who-knows-what… Hippies…

Also there was this gem on another topic:
“We pay millions so that KOC (Kevin O’Connor – General Manager of the Utah Jazz) can progress these players through what should be high school and college levels playing, all the while paying them an NBA salary…”

Now this was posted by someone who is a fan of the team. Where he gets the idea that he is paying the millions that the Miller family pays for the team’s payroll, I have no idea. As a fan I say that the Jazz are my team, but I also understand that this is only figuratively. They are not really MY team. The team is owned by the Larry H Miller Group, which is owned by the Miller family. So what the crap is this random fan talking about? I guess that those that go to the arena and pay for tickets for each game cumulatively pay millions all together, but even if you have season tickets or even a luxury suite you are not paying millions – thousands, not millions. Also you are not the responsible party for paying players. So here’s an idea, don’t bunch yourself with a family that has financial obligations in the millions, especially since this fan seems to know so little about what is going on with the team that actual game attendance is doubtful.

This is probably the same type of person that thinks that the Jazz would be better off with someone else as coach besides Jerry Sloan, as if coaches of his caliber are on every street corner. OK genius, who do you replace him with? If you look through the world of  basketball who do you feel is a better coach? The only people who could possibly fit would be currently employed in San Antonio and LA and are not about to leave their respective locations. Really learn something about the system Jerry Sloan runs and then look at what other NBA teams do, Jerry Sloan is one of only maybe 20% of NBA coaches that really coaches and has a real system that is run. A system that has been successful for more than 20 years. What was the last thing you did that was successful for over 20 years?

Oh well I guess fans will be fans, and hey these kind of fans are the always the guys serving up treasures like this when the trade deadline comes around each year: “The Jazz should trade Carlos Boozer for Lebron…”

Yes, your sports genius never ends.
